The 1988 Renault Alpine V6 Turbo is a classic sports car that is revered by car enthusiasts for its unique design, powerful engine, and exceptional performance. The car was manufactured by the French automaker Renault from 1985 to 1991 and is often referred to as the Alpine GTA V6 Turbo. A legendary sports car that has become an icon of French automotive history. 3.982 examples were produced.

The design of the Alpine V6 Turbo is distinctive, featuring sleek lines and a low profile. The body of the car is made from a combination of steel and fiberglass, which makes it lightweight and easy to handle. The car's chassis was developed in collaboration with Lotus, which is known for its expertise in designing lightweight, high-performance cars. Its lightweight construction, which included an aluminum body and chassis, helped to keep the car's weight down to just 1.180 kg, which made it a joy to drive on winding roads and through tight corners.

The car's design and engineering influenced many subsequent Renault models, including the Renault Spider and the Renault Clio V6. It also inspired other sports cars of the era, such as the Porsche 944 and the Lotus Esprit.

Under the hood, the Alpine V6 Turbo is powered by a 3.0-liter V6 engine that produces 200 horsepower and 296 Nm of torque. The engine is turbocharged and intercooled, which gives it an impressive power-to-weight ratio and allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 6.3 seconds. The car's top speed is 250 kmh, which is faster than many of its competitors from the era.

The interior of the Alpine V6 Turbo is designed with comfort and performance in mind. The seats are made from leather and provide ample support for the driver and passengers. The dashboard is well-organized, with clear gauges and easy-to-reach controls. The car also features air conditioning, power windows, and a stereo system, which were all considered high-end features for a sports car in the late 1980s.

One of the most impressive aspects of the Alpine V6 Turbo is its handling. The car features a rear-wheel-drive setup and a well-tuned suspension that allows it to hug the road through tight corners and twisty roads. The car also features power-assisted steering, which makes it easy to maneuver at low speeds and provides a good feel for the road at higher speeds.

Overall, the 1988 Renault Alpine V6 Turbo is a classic sports car that is highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts alike. Its unique design, powerful engine, and exceptional performance make it a true gem from the era of 1980s sports cars. While it may not be as well-known as other sports cars from the era, such as the Porsche 911 or the Ferrari Testarossa, the Alpine V6 Turbo is a true driver's car that deserves to be celebrated for its impressive engineering and timeless design.

It is a true legend of French automotive history, and its legacy lives on to this day. Its sleek design, powerful engine, and nimble handling made it a true driver's car that is still cherished by enthusiasts around the world. Whether you are a fan of classic sports cars or simply appreciate excellent engineering and design, the Renault Alpine V6 Turbo GTA is a car that is well worth experiencing.

This example was brought to Czechia from Japan in 2014. Two years ago the car underwent major repairs (exhaust, alternator, fuel system, ABS sensor replacement, etc..) Since then the car has been in working order and garaged in a depository. Only basic maintenance (engine oil and filter, spark plugs, spark plug wires, air filter and brake fluid) has been done later. Car for sale due to selling off private collection.
